Message From Our President/Exec. Director

Welcome: President - John Shaw

Fun, family and community, it's that simple. Friends of Hazard Castle is a group of local residents and business owners who believed that something more needed to be done to raise awareness about the historic significance and importance of Hazard Castle and the Hazard family had on SOuth County. We needed to act fast in order to make sure we did not lose this historic gem for a second time. The goal remains the same to preserve the Castle to its previous glory. Community suport and hands on involvement is key to our success. Not to mention large financial stimulus from those who are able to give...Some people give financial support others volunteer, by lending some form of expertise.

Again we have the opportunity to do something great for the future of Narragansett, but it will take many of us to step-up, get involved and live up to the reputaion of the restort meca Narragansett was in a gilded age. Narragansett was built on farming, fishing and tourism (with a capital "T") if we are going to survive in soft economic times, we need to get back to our roots and do the right thing by working together. This is not the burden of anyone organization or person. Preserving Hazard and creating a educational property for the enrichment of our town, our state and tourism is the right thing to do...Now is the time to wake-up and get involved in your community. Join Friends of Hazard Castle and you will have a profound effect on future generations. Join FOHC Today!
